You'll surprise yourself at what can happen, how you can transform into the happy, authentic, true, creative self that you are, free of the burdens that are upon you. You can shed off the layers that no longer serve you well.
I practice psychodynamic psychotherapy. This means we will explore your past and how you got to be the person you are today. And I will talk with you, not sit silent. Together we will travel through your life and uncover how past experiences have shaped your present. We will discover what lies in your subconscious / unconscious that guides your behaviours and work towards changing what you no longer need. We may look at your dreams, fantasies, reactions, core beliefs, or values in order to understand who you are.
You are always in charge. We move at a pace that is comfortable for you.
I have spent many years in your chair. I have been a client and have moved from a restricted to a more authentic place in my life. I have studied psychotherapy through an intense 6 year experiental program, including 4 years of group work relating to others as they become more authentic. So I understand what it may be like for you, beginning this adventure. Each person and their journey is unique of course, but we are all more alike than we know.
