About Me

Usually when people seek therapy, all of the smouldering struggles that are part of modern life have heated up and boiled over, sometimes bringing on a heath crisis, a relationship crisis, a career crisis, a spiritual crisis. Depression. Anxiety. Loneliness. Fear. Frustration. Blocked creativity, low self esteem. This intensity can either accelerate resilience and growth, or it can destablize your life and sense of well being. Or both!

We all developed coping strategies and defense mechanisms in our early life, and these unconsciously shape our present life and affect our world view and choices. Therapy is a process where emotional honesty leads to awareness of these internal programs, then to healing, growth and personal freedom as we discover more expanded ways of being and coping. I will attune to you, help you to hear yourself and find opportunities within the challenges.

I have been a psychotherapist for 30 years, taking body, mind and spirit into account, using a holistic integrative apporoach. I am comfortable working safely with intense emotion, and am trauma-informed.

I co-founded the Living Institute where I supervised and trained therapists in Existential-Integrative psychotherapy, which combines a number of different approaches and perspectives in order to meet individual specific needs. Based on your personality, issues and life experiences, I will adapt therapy so that it is relevant to your needs, integrating current neuroscience with depth oriented psychological enquiry and transpersonal or spiritual perspectives.
